1) 
Ragi Malt

Clean the grain, wash it well and soak in double volume water for about 16hrs.then scrub the flour in water, remove the seed coat by washing and soak for another 3-4 hrs. Then drain off water and spread the grain on a damp cloth and cover it with another damp cloth and keep it for a day.

The grain will germinate. The next day, ragi will have a small white sprout. Then dry the flour in the sun by spreading on a tray and then roast it till malt flavor appears. Then powder it into fine flour and serve it. Store it in airtight container.

2) 
Wheat Dalia porridge

Ingredients:

wheat dalia -25gms, Sugar -20gms, Coconut/cow’s milk, Water.

Procedure:

Roast wheat Dalia and add to boiling water and cook until soft. Add sugar and milk towards the end. You can also use the combination of wheat Dalia and moongdal and prepare a similar kind of porridge.

3) 
Ragi porridge

Ingredients:

Ragi malt - 25gms, Jaggery - 20gms.

Procedure:

Add enough water for cooking and little coconut or cow’s milk at the end to the above content

4) 
Banana Powder

Ingredients:

Banana powder- 25gms, Sugar - 20gms, Water.

Procedure:

Remove the banana coat and then cut into slices.dry the pieces and grind them into a powder and store it in an airtight container. Cook the banana powder with water to have a semisolid consistency and add sugar.

5) 
Banana Groundnut Mix

Ingredients:

Ripe Banana- 1, Jaggery- 100gms, Groundnut- 10gms, Milk.

Procedure:

Roast and fine groundnuts. Mash the ripe banana. Mix the the above two with jaggery and add little milk to make it into smooth paste

6) 
Khichidi

Ingredients:

Wheat dalia/rice-50gms, Dal - 25gms, Spinach- 25gms, Ghee/oil- 1 table spoon, Salt to taste, Water.

Procedure:

Cook cereal dal together and mash well. Boil leafy vegetable, mash and strain. Add the leafy vegetable puree, salt and heated oil to rice dal mixture and stir well. You can make the above item sweet by adding sugar or jaggery to the above-SWEET KHICHIDI.

7) 
KHEER

Ingredients:

Sufi/rice-25gms, Sugar-20gms, Milk.

Procedure:

Boil the milk, then add flour and cook until soft. Later add sugar.

8) 
Wheat and green gram laddoos

Ingredients:

Wheat flour - 50gms, Green gram/dal - 50gms, Sugar - 100gms, Oil - 2 table spoon.

Procedure:

Roast the flour and dal separately till light brown. Grind the green gram dal to fine powder. Mix them together and fry them for 10 minutes in oil. Remove and add powdered sugar and prepare them into small balls. Any cereal pulse combination or any dal or cereal alone can be prepared similarly
