My child is inattentive, how I deal with it?
- Be in child‘s vicinity.
- Keep instructions simple.
- Maintain eye contact.
- Give one instruction at a time.
- Prompt the child to verbally repeat instructions.
- Slowly build the number of steps for instruction and praise the child after each complete step.
- Reward those, that are appropriate
- Chart the child’s behavior, so that he/she can see the targets of improvements and offer him/her appropriate rewards.
